Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was under a considerable amount of pressure heading into Wednesday night. The four-time NBA champ was named as the host of the annual ESPYs and in true Steph fashion, the greatest shooter of all time stepped up to the plate to open the show with a ton of hilarious jabs.

One of the most savage disses Curry had in his opening skit centered around LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. It started off with Steph heaping praise on the Los Angeles Rams and their Super Bowl conquest this past season. As it turns out, Curry was just setting up his epic jab for LeBron and Co.:

“Super Bowl champions — I know that sounds great,” Curry said, via ClutchPoints on Twitter. “It was so inspiring watching y'all play, watching y'all win a Super Bowl, watching y'all celebrate. It's just inspiring to see that strategy of buying old superstars pay off for a local team around here.”

Stephen Curry then turned his attention to NBA icon Dikembe Mutombo, jokingly asking him if he wanted a 10-day contract in the NBA. Steph then quipped that if he were, Mutombo should “hit up Rob Pelinka [and] let him know.”

As soon as Steph dropped his joke, the broadcast showed Rams star Von Miller on the screen. He was one of the “old superstars” Curry was referring to in his joke, which is also very much applicable to the Lakers' offseason transactions last summer. Unfortunately for LeBron, things just didn't work out for them the way they did for the Rams. Not even close.
