After Friday’s epic showing in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, it isn’t at all surprising that Stephen Curry remains the odds-on favorite to win his first-ever Finals MVP title. The Boston Celtics had no answer for Steph as he led the Golden State Warriors to 107-97 win to tie the series at 2-2.
FanDuel’s updated Finals MVP odds are in after Curry’s heroics in Game 4 and at this point, the Warriors superstar is the clear frontrunner in the race (h/t ClutchPoints Betting on Twitter):
The Finals MVP race seems to be firmly down to Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown 👀
The question is, with how lights out Curry has been, is he the MVP regardless of the series turnout? pic.twitter.com/MCAZcRcHli

After dropping a 43-point, 10-rebound double-double with seven triples, Curry is now averaging 34.3 points (on 50.0 percent from the field), 6.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.0 steals, and a mind-blowing 6.3 3-pointers per game on a 49.0 clip over the first four games of the Finals series. Those are some pretty lofty numbers, and at this point, the Finals MVP title is now for the Warriors star to lose.
The series has now become a best-of-3 with the Warriors gaining home-court advantage again. Curry and Co. are the favorites to win the championship again and the icing on top of the cake will be his first-ever Finals MVP win. Surely, that should shut up the naysayers claiming that Steph doesn’t show up in the Finals.
