Stephen Curry joining Kevin Hart, Serena Williams to celebrate 2020 graduating class
This is a great gesture from the Warriors star, Hart and Williams.
The 2019-20 NBA season was suspended on March 11th after Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19. The NBA was the first sports league to cancel play and all other major sports leagues followed suit.
Since the NBA suspended the season, the economy has taken a big hit, as many businesses were forced to shut down operations due to the coronavirus pandemic. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has been on record saying he is hoping the NBA can help the economy restart.
Curry and the Warriors had the worst record in the NBA before the season was suspended. The two-time MVP and three-time champion only appeared in five games this season. Curry broke his left hand in the fourth game of the season after Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes landed on him.
The Warriors should be playoff contenders once again next season since Curry will be joined on the court by Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins. The Dubs will also have a top pick in the 2020 draft. There have been mixed reports about their preferred draft targets.
Curry averaged 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in the five games he appeared in for the Warriors this season.
