After spraining his ankle against the New Orleans Pelicans, Stephen Curry has missed the Golden State Warriors' last five games. However, the Warriors are doing just fine without him, going 5-0 during this stretch.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Curry will be re-evaluated in a week, which likely rules him out for their Christmas Day matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers:

For the Warriors, they are in no rush as Curry can take his time to fully recover from this latest ankle injury. In addition, Draymond Green has missed the last three games with a sore shoulder.

While all basketball fans wanted to see how LeBron James' new-looked Cavs stack up against the defending champions, they do not have to wait long as their second matchup will take place on Jan. 15 in Cleveland. If all goes well, the two teams should be at full strength as Isaiah Thomas is reportedly eyeing the first week of January for a return.

Curry is averaging 26.3 points (47.3 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from the three-point line), 5.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in 23 appearances during the 2017-18 NBA season.
