Stephen Curry is well aware that the clock is ticking on him to win his fourth championship in the league. Now on his 12th NBA season, the Golden State Warriors‘ superstar knows that he has to hurry up and bring his team back to title contention since he's not getting any younger. Of course, not unless you're a certain Tom Brady who's on his way to his 10th Super Bowl appearance at age 43.

When asked if he thinks about his championship window, the 32-year old Curry responded:

“Absolutely. This is what you play the game for,” the Warriors star said (via Wes Goldberg of East Bay Times). “You live in reality so unless you're playing quarterback for Tampa Bay Bucs right now, there's a fine line between when you're at your peak.”

Obviously, basketball and football are two different sports. The contrast between how both games are played, especially when you talk about quarterbacks and point guards, is quite stark. However, Stephen Curry knows that there is only one Tom Brady.

Whether you're talking about football or any other sport, Brady's success through two decades of a professional career in a contact sport is unmatchable. At 43, Brady is a six-time Super Bowl champion, a four-time Super Bowl MVP, and a three-time NFL MVP. He's arguably the greatest quarterback to ever step on an NFL field, and a potential seventh ring in Super Bowl LV should cement his status.

The Warriors' leader wants to replicate that feat somehow on the basketball court. Curry has three NBA titles under his belt and two league MVP trophies. That's definitely not bad, but given Curry's championship demeanor, he definitely wants more.
