The Golden State Warriors and power forward Draymond Green have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract extension, and star point guard Stephen Curry couldn't be more excited for Green.

Draymond Green could have waited to become an unrestricted free agent in 2020 and signed a more lucrative deal. The All-Star signed a five-year, $82 million contract with the Warriors as a restricted free agent in the summer of 2015.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are going to have to lead the Warriors next season in the rugged Western Conference now that two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant is gone and star shooting guard Klay Thompson is going to miss a big chunk of the season recovering from his ACL tear.

You can expect Curry and Green to be motivated to prove all the doubters who are saying the Warriors' dynasty is done wrong.

Golden State was able to acquire All-Star point guard D'Angelo Russell from the Brooklyn Nets in the sign-and-trade deal involving Durant. The Warriors have $129 million and $138 million committed to their four max players of Curry, Thompson, Green and Russell for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, respectively.

This past season, Green averaged 7.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists while shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 28.5 percent from beyond the arc and 69.2 percent from the free-throw line. The three-time champion recorded eight double-doubles.
