Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is less about showing off his machismo or brashness in confrontations than throwing subtle jabs.

Curry had one such jab for former Cleveland Cavaliers center and current ESPN commentator Kendrick Perkins during Game 2 of the 2018 Finals.

The two-time MVP had a short confrontation with Perk after he failed to move his feet when Curry stumbled back toward the Cavs bench after firing a triple.

Perkins — who was dressed in street clothes — had no comeback for Curry when the Warriors star asked this simple question: “You ain't playing tonight?”

Apparently, that phrase has now been made into a meme on a T-shirt made by Warriors fans.

Perkins tweeted out an image of the shirt showing the mini skirmish between the two, with Curry's barb in large print at the top. Perkins also appears to be holding pom poms, insinuating his status as a “cheerleader” that game:

Perk is taking it all in stride, clearly.

Curry went nuts in that Game 2, scoring 33 points and shooting 9-of-17 from beyond the arc as the Warriors cruised to a 19-point win. They would go on to sweep the Cavs.

Unfortunately for Warriors fans, Curry has not had many opportunities to shimmy after a 3-pointer or talk trash to opponents.

Steph suffered a broken left hand during the fourth game of the 2019-20 regular season. He was set to play the last couple months of the season and returned on March 5 against the Toronto Raptors.

However, the coronavirus pandemic has likely ended Steph's season. While the NBA is still gearing up for the resumption of play, it is unlikely the Warriors — the worst team in the league — will be asked to play. Even if they do play, there's a good chance Curry doesn't.
