Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is in a slump. After scoring just nine points against the Miami Heat on Monday, he was off to another bad start on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Curry scored just five points in the first half, three of which were from the free-throw line. He made just one bucket in the first 24 minutes of play and even missed 14 straight shots–including five 3-point attempts.

According to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, that stat tied his longest streak without a make in a game in his career. He had done it only two other times, back in January 2021 and November 2017.

It is certainly not a sign for Stephen Curry and the Warriors, and it's a major reason why they're behind the Mavs 50-39 at halftime.

Sure, the Warriors won against the Heat on Monday despite Curry finishing below double-digits, thanks to Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole. However, facing a motivated Luka Doncic-led Dallas team is no cakewalk.

Curry had been on a phenomenal run prior to his recent slump. It's not too long ago when he broke the record for the most 3-pointers in NBA history and breached the 3000 mark in that area–a first in the NBA.

However, for the Warriors to keep their hold of the top spot, Chef Curry needs to get back to his cooking ways sooner rather than later.
