NBA Summer League is the home for rookies and young players to shine like superstars. When the regular season starts, most will go into situations with a lesser role. Summer League is also where veterans sit courtside to check on their incoming rookies. Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry did just that. Curry made his first appearance at NBA Summer League on Wednesday to check out the two new rookies Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga. Two additions to the team that Curry is excited about and feels good about having.

Curry wasted no time with his duties of being a good veteran. He started with taking his Warriors rookie teammate Moody out to dinner.

“Yeah, it was cool hanging out with the OG, older guy on the team. He's been through a lot, so I was able to pick his brain a little bit and build that relationship that will carry on for the seasons to come,” Moody tells ClutchPoints.

Dinner with Curry might come with tons of advice and wisdom. After having dinner with the two-time MVP of the Warriors, Moody had his best performance yet, scoring 22 points. Does dinner with Curry equal a good game? What did he tell the Warriors' rookie?

“It was about getting to know each other. It wasn't just about advice and game. It was really just jelling and talking about all kinds of things. He (Curry) did say he's going to teach me how to golf,” Moody said with a chuckle.

Players always talk about the importance of having good veterans, and the Golden State Warriors might have the best in the business. When you have Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Andre Iguodala to guide you as a young player, you are in good hands.
