After a six-game absence due to an ankle injury, Stephen Curry returned against the Atlanta Hawks on Mar. 23. Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury after JaVale McGee fell on his leg and is expected to miss the first round of the 2018 NBA playoffs.

With Curry targeting a return in the second round of the playoffs, the Golden State Warriors announced he will intensify his on-court rehabilitation and will be re-evaluated again in one week:

For Curry and the Warriors, this is great news considering the circumstances and it appears he is on pace to return in the next round. During his absence, Quinn Cook has established himself as the team's starting point guard as the Warriors had to waive Omri Casspi to create a roster spot. In 18 starts, Cook is averaging 14.6 points (49.3 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from the three-point line), 3.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 32.9 minutes.

After dealing with numerous injuries near the end of the regular season, the Warriors will still have Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. As they prepare for the San Antonio Spurs, the focus will be on containing LaMarcus Aldridge and their three-point shooters. With the Spurs announcing Kawhi Leonard will not play in Game 1, it appears unlikely he will return this season.

Curry is averaging 26.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 51 appearances.
