The San Francisco 49ers have quite the spotlight as the owners of the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr could care less.

Kerr had a hilariously snarky response when asked Wednesday about San Francisco's draft plans:

“You realize I'm a basketball coach, right? I don't know what the hell I would do,” Kerr said, via Drew Shiller of NBC Sports Bay Area. “I'm trying to figure out how to beat Minnesota.”

The response is understandable especially considering how Kerr's team played Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks.

Golden State was on the losing end of a 133-103 drubbing. Dallas shot 52.2 percent from the field, including 18-for-35 from beyond the arc. Luka Doncic scored 39 points on 15-for-23 shooting.

It was an ugly defensive performance for a team ranked eighth in defensive rating. Things were also sloppy on the other end of the floor. The Warriors committed 18 turnovers, with Draymond Green finishing the contest with six giveaways.

Whereas the Niners figure to draft a quarterback and build for the future come Thursday, the Warriors are at a pivotal juncture of their current season.

Golden State is currently the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference. The Warriors have a sizable lead over the No.11-seeded New Orleans Pelicans for the final play-in spot.

Of course, the Warriors would probably prefer not to have to play multiple games to advance to the standard playoff bracket. They are a single game back of the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 8 seed and 2.5 games back of the Portland Trail Blazers for the No. 7 seed.

Needless to say, Kerr is not very concerned with San Francisco's Mac Jones-Trey Lance dilemma. He is focused on basketball.
