The Golden State Warriors are looking for ways to address the holes in their roster. One of their possible solutions include having Alec Burks play some minutes to provide support in the backcourt.

Steve Kerr revealed that he hopes to be able to play the veteran guard sooner rather than later.

Recently, Kerr heaped some high praises on Burks, noting that he believes the 28-year-old can make a big impact once he returns. Burks has been sidelined since the preseason with a sprained right ankle and even missed their opening game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Burks has career averages of 9.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 21 minutes per game. His contributions will certainly be vital for a Warriors team that is still trying to make the Finals despite being a shell of their former selves.

His return could not come at a better time as well, with the Warriors one man down once again as Kevon Looney continues to be bothered by a hamstring injury. Looney is set to be out of Golden State's two-game road trip against the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans.

Burks will be coming in with plenty of expectations, but it's one he's more than happy to take on.
