Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors have the second overall pick in the 2020 draft as a result of their putrid 2019-20 season.

Before games were suspended in March due to the coronavirus, the Warriors registered the worst record in the NBA.

However, the Warriors are in a really unique situation, as they aren't your normal “worst team in the NBA” club since stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will be back in the lineup together in 2020-21 after not playing with each other in 2019-20.

Curry played only five games in 2019-20, while Thompson didn't suit up for the Warriors since he was recovering from the ACL tear he suffered against the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the 2019 Finals.

With Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins leading the way next season, the Warriors are expected to be back in the playoffs.

With that being said, Kerr says the Warriors are looking for versatility with their second overall pick in the upcoming draft.

“Well, I mean, I, you know, we, we learned a lot from our own (Warriors) journey over the last five years and, uh, you know, you got a guy like Steph Curry who has otherworldly skill. And if, if there's somebody like out like that out there, you gotta consider him no matter what, if there's nobody with that kind of skill, then you really gotta look at the playoffs and think, what's winning,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said on latest episode of ‘Jemele Hill is Unbothered.'

“You know, what's winning at the highest level. And these days it's not really any secret, but, but versatility, switch ability. You know, guys who can guard multiple positions, stand up to the physicality. Those are all the important things. So those are, you know, those are the characteristics and qualities we're looking for.”

The Warriors know the Minnesota Timberwolves have the No. 1 overall pick and have been heavily linked to Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball.

Since the Warriors need big man help, most draft experts believe Kerr and Co. could draft James Wiseman out of Memphis.
