Following the Golden State Warriors ugly defeat at the hands of the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, Dubs head coach Steve Kerr was quick to take the blame for his team's unsatisfactory performance on the evening.

Speaking to reporters after the loss, the 53-year-old coach did not mince words, and was brutally honest about what he considers to be one of his worst outings as a coach.

“I did not like our offense tonight. I've got to do a better job,” Kerr said, via Matt Eppers of USA Today. “Tonight was probably a game that I could mark down as one of my worst performances as a coach, honestly.”

Saturday night marked the return of Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry after missing 11 games due to a lingering groin issue. However, his comeback was foiled by the Pistons, who took a 111-102 victory against the defending champs, behind Blake Griffin's 26-point performance and Andre Drummond's 16-point, 19-rebound double-double.

Kerr was more than happy to serve as the team's scapegoat, as he was clearly trying to deflect the criticism from his team.

“All in all, I've got to do a better job than I've done here the first couple months of the season,
Kerr added. “This is … just gotta get better. We've gotta get better shots. We gotta get more spacing, get better flow.”

The Warriors are arguably in the worst stretch they have ever been in in recent years. Hopefully, Kerr and co. are able to figure things out sooner rather than later, with a number of Western Conference teams breathing heavily down their neck.
