Steve Kerr knew that the Golden State Warriors would have a dip in form this season. However, he probably didn't expect to go 1-5 after suffering a horrible loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

The Dubs' head coach came clean to the press after a disappointing loss on Saturday night. He turned all the emotions his players are receiving towards him; he took the blame for the loss.

Kerr's words were nice, but it seems like he had no choice but to make that admission. The team that he fielded was nowhere close to the ideal lineup that most Warriors fans would have wanted to see. The first five players for the Dubs were Glenn Robinson III, Eric Paschall, Willie Cauley-Stein, Jordan Poole, and Ky Bowman. This is as depleted as depleted gets as both of the team's remaining stars–Draymond Green and D'Angelo Russell–had to sit out due to various injuries.

His comments were also consistent with the narrative that Kerr's been harping the entire season. The Warriors are going to struggle after their dynasty crumbled, and this is only one of the many tribulations the team will have to face in the future.

Fortunately, not all is lost for the Dubs. If the Warriors front office believes that this season is not savable, they can make moves before the trade deadline passes by. Their biggest trade piece is Russell, and they can get more than a pretty penny if they get the Miami Heat to trade for him.

Until that happens, Dub Nation would have to get acclimated to seeing their team struggle through the lows. After all, they made every other team feel the same when they were on top of the world.
