Several banters were recently thrown at the direction of the Golden State Warriors led by Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard who released controversial statements directed at Stephen Curry.
Warriors forward Draymond Green already knew that it was going to be a long night for their opponents after seeing the two-time NBA MVP enter the game laser-focused.
“I could just see Steph has a tendency at times to [mess] around with the basketball. There was no [messing] around,” Green said via USA Today. “He came out and everything was shot or attack. I watched the guy's eyes. He never looked to pass once. You could feel it.”
“Just because of all the talk that has been going around,” he continued. “I could see it from the very first possession.”
Green simply said that the Warriors star wanted to silence the naysayers and prove that a string of bad performances and tough losses won't easily keep him down.

Indeed, Curry broke out with a statement performance as he exploded with 62 points, five rebounds, and four assists highlighted by his 8-of-16 shooting from beyond the arc and an efficient 18-for-19 shooting from the charity stripe.
More than proving his haters wrong and outperforming Lillard, Curry was just elated to secure a 137-122 victory for their third win of the season.
After his recent explosion, talking heads would need to think twice before downplaying the capabilities of Stephen Curry and his squad again moving forward.
