If you're a Golden State Warriors fan, your day has just gotten a little worse. Starting big man Draymond Green has been officially ruled out of tonight's tilt against the Toronto Raptors for what the Warriors are officially calling a finger sprain:

According to Warriors insider Anthony Slater, the team was cautious about Green's status going into tonight's game ever since he tweaked it against the Miami Heat the other night. This injury couldn't possibly come at a worse time for a team that is trying to remind everyone that they are still competitive.

Fans are likely aware of the recent rash of injuries that have plagued the Warriors since their 2018 championship run. First Kevin Durant (who left in the 2019 offseason), then Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, and then Klay again coming into this season. The Warriors can't just seem to catch a break.

For what it's worth, this injury is seemingly minor, with more word on the injury likely to follow tonight's game. However, against an underachieving but still talented Raptors team, Green will be sorely missed. If he happens to miss more time on top of this, you can pretty much count the Warriors, who currently sit at 23-25 and 10th in the Western Conference out of the playoff hunt.

Draymond Green, despite his low counting stats, still remains as one of the primary engines for this team on both ends of the court. He's especially important as the facilitator on the team that knows Steph the best. Let's cross our fingers (no pun intended) that he comes away from this more unscathed than not.

More to come as news develops.
