Stephen Curry is perhaps Under Armour's biggest endorser. The 3-point assassin has his own brand of Under Armour shoes and it's a profitable line because of the Golden State Warriors star's stature.

In wake of Curry's 30th birthday, Under Armour released the new Curry 5 “Pi Day” edition sneakers. In celebration of Curry's birthday on March 14, Under Armour is only releasing 314 sneakers starting on Thursday, according to Robby Kalland of Uproxx.

The ‘Pi Day’ Curry 5 hit Under Armour’s website on a limited release, with 314 pairs being made available in the black and metallic iron colorway. The Pi number sequence can be found on the sole of the special edition shoe, as Under Armour boasts the sneaker is inspired by Pi and “squaring the circle” as part of its design aesthetic featuring a “circular construction is built from heel through toe, framing the 90-degree angle of the shoe on foot,” as Curry goes to a low top for his fifth sneaker.

This sneaker is definitely different from Curry's usual signature shoes. The shoe is Curry's first signature low-top sneakers. The design is new as well. The nightshade-themed shoe gets its name from the mathematical value — pi.

Interestingly, the numerical value of pi matches Curry's birthday this year, which happens to be 3-14-18. Considering the incredible popularity that these sneakers have amassed in the past few years, those 314 limited edition sneakers will be gone in a flash.

UPDATE: They're already sold out and stocks will get replenished on April 14th.

Curry is undoubtedly Under Armour's most bankable star. The company has made billions of dollars from Curry's custom shoe brand, so it's no surprise that they want to celebrate the birthday of their money-maker by giving him his own signature shoe on his special day.
