After weeks of being linked to the Golden State Warriors, it appears that Sixers guard Ben Simmons won't end up in the Bay Area.

Philly continues to have trade talks with various organizations throughout the NBA regarding Simmons, but according to Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Warriors can't meet the Sixers' asking price:

“Simmons, the only All-Star known to be shopped by his team, is also unlikely to land with the Warriors. The 76ers are asking for a massive haul that includes an All-Star-level player. Per a league source, Golden State wouldn’t be willing to give up what it would take to get Simmons.”

Sorry Dubs fans, you won't be seeing the Aussie in a Golden State uniform. It's understandable from Philadelphia's viewpoint, though. While Simmons did struggle immensely in the playoffs, he's still a key part of their team. They would need to get a lot in return for him.

The Warriors are still in the market for making some blockbuster trades though. Pacers big man Myles Turner could be a possible option along with Raptors star Pascal Siakam, who has lots of postseason experience under his belt. But, Toronto would likely want Andrew Wiggins in return and Golden State would ideally like to keep him.

Nevertheless, the Warriors have Klay Thompson coming back from an Achilles injury and the No. 7 and No. 14 picks in next week's NBA Draft. This team will surely be in the playoff mix next season. Ben Simmons just won't be a part of it.
