The Golden State Warriors stealthily snubbed two-time champion Kevin Durant from a tribute tweet self-promoting their recent win as “Franchise of the Decade,” as voted by the Sports Business Journal.

The tweet includes snapshots from each year — from 2010 through 2019 — none of which include the two-time Finals MVP in them.

The Warriors are still healing from Durant's choice to part ways and change what was an indestructible well-oiled machine during his three years with the franchise, but cutting him off this tribute seems like a move that is saltier than a fisherman's underwear.

Durant was an integral part of the Warriors' last two titles, hitting a monster pull-up 3-pointer in the face of LeBron James to give Golden State a 3-0 lead in the 2017 NBA Finals, and putting up monster all-around numbers in a clean sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 Finals.

To see him not make at least one of the photos during his three seasons there seems more than an act of oversight, but a slight from a team that is still sour to go from the top of the league to the bottom of the barrel, now likely bound for a high lottery pick.

The Warriors beat out the New England Patriots for Franchise of the Decade, but they couldn't have done so without some of Durant's key shots that sparked their last two titles. To leave him out of that celebratory tweet is a petty and infantile decision for a franchise that has handled praise and criticism with the ultimate class.
