The Washington Commanders' offseason could get interesting, as the roster is close to becoming a legitimate playoff contender. With the NFC East being a near wide-open race, now is the time for Washington to strike and make some big moves. For that reason, we take a look at some of our Commanders' offseason predictions as the NFL kicks off the new football year.
For Washington, the offensive line isn't great, so it should be expected the front office finds some help. This is especially necessary if the Commanders hope to acquire a talented quarterback in the upcoming offseason. We'll see how it plays out, but this team has a chance to seriously build up the trenches.
Many believed the defense would perform much better but they failed to keep opponents out of the endzone. The Commanders are strong within the front seven and could use some help in the secondary. Look for them to acquire a veteran cornerback in the offseason. Additionally, we could see two big moves to massively improve the offense.
With that said, here are four Washington Commanders' offseason predictions.

Commanders Offseason Predictions
4. Commanders make moves to improve the offensive line
Having a strong offensive line goes a long way. It makes life easier for the quarterback and opens up the running lanes for the running back. If the Commanders can find a way to improve upfront, the offense will become tough to stop. Whoever is under center will have plenty of time to throw the ball, which is only good news for Terry McLaurin.
At the same time, having a better offensive line increases the interest in quarterbacks playing in Washington. The Commanders are rumored to be all-in on trading for a quarterback, so improving in the trenches is a must.
3. The franchise brings in Chris Harris to boost the secondary
Chris Harris isn't quite the same cornerback he used to be, but he'd still be a valuable asset to the Commanders. His veteran presence cannot be ignored and he'd serve as a veteran leader for the defense. Harris is a fine cornerback that can get the job done and won't necessarily break the bank either.

2. Front office signs Juju Smith-Schuster
Terry McLaurin has been by himself for far too long. The front office thought they hit the nail on the head after acquiring Curtis Samuel and Adam Humphries last offseason. After both of them dealt with injuries, it's time for the Commanders to find a legitimate threat in the passing game. Juju Smith-Schuster would be a brilliant signing for Washington.
1. Washington trades Chase Young for a superstar quarterback
There are already rumors spreading of Washington potentially seeking a trade for a superstar quarterback. They could even be willing to trade Chase Young to ensure a deal gets done. It's a risky move, but considering how good the Commanders' front seven is, they can afford to lose Young to bring in a talented quarterback.
It's unknown who they are targeting. However, the top names in the rumor mill are Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, and Deshaun Watson. We'll see how it all plays out, but it sounds like the Commanders are willing to risk it all for a superstar to lead the way under center.
