Washington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson gave fans a major scare on Tuesday after he exited the game and went to the sideline medical tent.

Gibson left their Week 15 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles in the first quarter reportedly due to a toe injury. It was a massive blow that sent Washington fans panicking, especially since the 23-year-old just scored the team's first touchdown of the game.

Before exiting, he had seven carries for 20 yards. Gibson also recorded two receptions for 25 yards for a highly impactful start to the Tuesday game.

As Mike Garofolo of NFL Network noted, Antonio Gibson was listed as “questionable” following the injury, which raised further concerns about his condition. Fortunately, after some time in the medical tent and a few moments running on the sideline, the Washington Football Team put him back — to the delight of fans and probably fantasy football owners.

There is no doubt Gibson is a major part of the Washington offense, and while he played rather poorly in Week 14, he still holds the key in unleashing the team's offense.

Hopefully, though, his toe injury isn't a long-term issue and won't bother him at this crucial juncture of the campaign. After all, Washington is fighting hard to stay in the playoff hunt in the NFC.
