The Washington Football Team, 6-8 on the season, is currently first in the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants right behind them. The young quarterback has already apologized for his recent actions, but a $40,000 fine followed suit anyway from the organization.

Whether this apology will suffice is yet to be determined, as the Washington Football Team are on the brink of clinching the NFC East and making the playoffs for the first time since 2015, where they lost in the Wild Card game to the Green Bay Packers.

With Alex Smith coming back from his inspiring leg injury, it is uncertain where Haskins will fit in in this playoff run. This season, Haskins has thrown for five touchdowns and  five interceptions with a total of 1,285 yards.

Alex Smith led Washington Football Team to much needed victories over teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys, making a strong case to keep the starting position.

However, Haskins may start this next week against the Eagles if Alex Smith is unable to recover from the injury he sustained against the 49ers in Week 14.
