The Washington Football Team is one of many teams who have been struggling with recent COVID-19 outbreaks. In light of the situation, their Week 15 game against the Philadelphia Eagles was postponed from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday night.

Although they are getting some players back in time for the NFC East matchup, Washington will have to play Tuesday night without running back J.D. McKissic. Washington Post reporter Nicki Jhabvala tweeted that McKissic was placed on Washington's injured reserve Tuesday afternoon.

Despite the huge loss, four players have been activated for the matchup in Philadelphia: fullback Alex Armah, linebacker De'Jon Harris, offensive tackle David Steinmetz, and quarterback Kyle Shurmur.

As of Tuesday afternoon, it is unclear who will be the Football Team's starting quarterback for the Week 15 game. Quarterbacks Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen are still on the team's COVID-19 list, leaving Shurmur and Garrett Gilbert as the only options.

McKissic has been unavailable for Washington since he suffered a concussion in Washington's Week 12 win against the Seattle Seahawks. Week 15 will be the third game in a row that McKissic has missed. In 11 games, the running back has recorded 212 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Washington and the Eagles are both fighting for a spot in the postseason, making Tuesday night's NFC East game one of the most important games of the week.
