Antonio Gibson has been a pivotal piece on offense for the Washington Football Team and it seems his Monday is done. According to the team's official Twitter account, Gibson is doubtful to return versus the Pittsburgh Steelers with a toe injury.

Gibson injured his toe on a run in the first quarter after landing awkwardly on his foot. The Washington rookie running back would run gingerly to the sideline and was checked on by the medical staff while getting his toe taped up.

Unfortunately for Washington, the toe injury to Gibson is likely going to keep him sidelined for the rest of the game on Tuesday. As a result, Washington will deploy a duo of J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber in the backfield versus the stout run defense of the Steelers.

Coming into Monday night's contest for Washington, Gibson had arguably the best game of his career against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. The Memphis product would rush for 115 yards and three touchdowns while also hauling in five passes for 21 yards.

In addition, prior to his injury, Gibson was third among rookie rushers with 645 rushing yards coming into Week 13. His production is even more impressive when you consider that he had an extremely limited role early in the season for Washington.

By the looks of it, Gibson is going to be inactive for the rest of the game for Washington against the Steelers. And seeing that it's a toe injury, it could be something to monitor for the rest of the season as well.
