The Washington Football Team suffered a truly devastating blow to their offense on Sunday when tight end Logan Thomas exited the game with an injury. Thomas injured his knee in the game and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the contest, per Ari Meirov.

The Washington tight end looked absolutely distraught on the sideline after his status was announced, and could be seen being consoled by backup quarterback Kyle Allen.

Thomas suffered the injury after Las Vegas Raiders defender Yannick Ngakoue hit him low on a tackle. He was able to limp off the field under his own power, but was clearly in pain, and was later ruled out for the remainder of the game. He had three catches for 48 yards and an impressive touchdown catch on the night.

It's a massive blow for Washington, and especially Thomas, who has battled a plethora of injuries this season. The 30-year-old has only featured in six games for Washington in 2021, and had only just returned from a lengthy absence. Thomas sustained a hamstring injury in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons that resulted in him being placed on Injury Reserve. He was activated from IR ahead of Washington's Week 12 battle with the Seattle Seahawks and featured on 79% of the team's snaps in his return.

He was on the field for most of the action in Week 13 until suffering the knee injury, but his heartbreaking reaction upon returning to the sideline should have Washington fans worried about his status going forward. Entering this week, Thomas had 15 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns this season.
