The NFL is now in its ninth week of the season and there are still plenty of injuries to dissect in fantasy football. Here is the Week 9 fantasy football injury report.

QBs

Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes (Out): For the second consecutive week, Patrick Mahomes was able to be a limited participant in practice. Despite making more progress, the Chiefs' franchise quarterback will miss his second consecutive game.

With Mahomes in street clothes again, veteran Matt Moore will get the start for the second straight week.

Possible replacements: Raiders' Derek Carr (vs. Lions), Jets' Sam Darnold (vs. Dolphins), Chiefs' Matt Moore (vs. Vikings)

RBs

Christian McCaffrey (Active): Over the past couple of weeks, Christian McCaffrey has been nursing a knee injury. The injury didn't prevent McCaffrey from playing in Week 8 versus the San Francisco 49ers.

The dual-threat back was removed from the Carolina Panthers' injury report on Friday and is prepared to play in Week 9.

Packers' Aaron Jones (Active): During last week's game against the Chiefs, Aaron Jones suffered a shoulder injury. The Green Bay Packers' running back left the game but ended up making a return.

Despite the injury, Jones was able to practice without any limitations on Friday and he doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday.

Broncos' Phillip Lindsay (Active): Following the Denver Broncos' loss to the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday, it was discovered that Phillip Lindsay had sustained a wrist injury.

Similarly to Jones and McCaffrey, the second-year running back is no longer on Denver's injury report.

Steelers' James Conner (Out): The Pittsburgh Steelers are hurting at the running back position in Week 9. While rookie Benny Snell is out with a knee injury, James Conner is also out with a shoulder injury.

As both Snell and Conner head to the sideline, the Steelers will lean on Jaylen Samuels in the backfield.

Possible replacements: Steelers' Jaylen Samuels (vs. Colts), Dolphins' Mark Walton (vs. Jets), Vikings' Alexander Mattison (vs. Chiefs)

WRs

Vikings' Adam Thielen (Active): After missing Week 8 with a hamstring injury, Adam Thielen was a limited participant in practice this week. Kirk Cousins' favorite weapon is expected to be active in Week 9 versus the Chiefs.

Eagles' DeSean Jackson (Active): DeSean Jackson hasn't played since Week 2 due to a nagging abdomen injury. The big-play wide receiver is expected to make his return in Week 9 versus the Chicago Bears.

Packers' Davante Adams (Active): Davante Adams has missed the past month with the Green Bay Packers due to a toe injury. The Pro-Bowl wideout has practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week and is ready to get heavily involved in the offense early and often on Sunday.

Patriots' Julian Edelman (Questionable): For nearly the past month, Julian Edelman has made an appearance on the New England Patriots' injury report. The veteran wideout has been nursing a chest injury that he suffered in Week 4.

Considering that he hasn't missed a game yet, there's no reason to believe he does on Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton (Out): The Indianapolis Colts are extremely thin at wide receiver and the injury to T.Y. Hilton doesn't help their cause. The team's No. 1 wide receiver sustained a calf injury on Wednesday and could miss a month of action.

With Hilton sidelined, expect to see a mixture of Parris Campbell, Zach Pascal, and Chester Rogers.

Possible replacements: Jets' Robby Anderson (vs. Dolphins), Lions' Danny Amendola (vs. Raiders), Zach Pascal (vs. Steelers), Steelers' Diontae Johnson (vs. Colts)

TEs

Jets' Chris Herndon (Active): Nearly three weeks ago, the New York Jets activated Chris Herndon to their active roster. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury has prevented him from being active until Week 9.

Herndon will officially make his season debut on Sunday against the Dolphins.

Titans' Delanie Walker (Out): In the past two weeks, Delanie Walker has been nursing an ankle injury. After failing to practice all week, Walker is officially inactive for the second consecutive game.

With Walker sitting out, Jonnu Smith will get another start; making him a decent fill-in option again.

Buccaneers' O.J. Howard (Out): O.J. Howard hasn't been relevant in fantasy football this season but it's still worth noting that he has an injury. The versatile tight end will miss his second straight week with a hamstring injury.

On the other hand, Cameron Brate is questionable with a rib injury. However, Brate is expected to play after logging a full practice on Friday.

Possible replacements: Titans' Jonnu Smith (vs. Panthers), Colts' Eric Ebron (vs. Steelers), Cowboys' Jason Witten (vs. Giants)
