The Green Bay Packers have not skipped a beat in Davante Adams' absence, as they have won three straight games without him and have averaged 33 points per game in the process.

However, even with their recent offensive success, you have to wonder if the Packers have enough weapons to make it to the Super Bowl, even once Adams gets healthy.

Yes, Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been decent, catching 21 passes for 416 yards and a couple of touchdowns (including two catches for 133 yards and a score in the Packers' win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday), but otherwise, Green Bay's receiving corps is very thin.

Geronimo Allison has not produced in the way many felt he would. Allen Lazard is interesting, but he has only played in two games. Tight end Jimmy Graham has been up and down.

Green Bay has looked just fine, but much of that is due in part to some heroic efforts from Aaron Rodgers, who played the part of his old self against the Raiders by throwing for 429 yards and five touchdowns.

Make no mistake: the Packers could really use another weapon, and a good target could be Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.

The Falcons are 1-6. They aren't going anywhere. In spite of having a ridiculously talented group of players on offense and what was supposed to be a better defense, they stink.

As a result, Atlanta could move some of its veterans by the Week 8 trade deadline, and one such veteran who could be on the block is Sanu.

Sanu isn't an elite receiver by any means, but he is consistent and sure-handed. He has logged 33 catches for 313 yards and a touchdown this season, and last year, he caught 66 passes for 838 yards and four scores.

Since 2013, the 30-year-old has missed just two games, so you know he is going to be there.

No, he has never posted 1,000 yards, but he has been a dependable pass-catcher for the Falcons throughout his tenure in Atlanta.

Now, however, the Falcons will likely need to enter rebuilding mode, and if they do indeed decide to go that route, they won't have much use for a complementary 30-year-old wideout.

Enter the Packers, who could very much use such a player, especially with the clock ticking on Rodgers' career.

Green Bay has gone 6-1 over its first seven games and very much looks like a real contender in the NFC, but even with its strong start, there seems to be something missing.

The defense has proven to not be as good as it looked over the first couple of weeks, but the typically high-powered Packers have not even looked dominant on offense, regardless of the fact that they dropped 42 on the Raiders this past Sunday.

To be fair, the NFC as a whole hasn't looked too great, as the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams have been very disappointing, and while the San Francisco 49ers seem to have a dominant defense, they remain a question mark because of their offense.

So, the Packers could still end up winning the conference even with their current roster.

But wouldn't it be nice to add another piece and have that extra insurance?

Sanu probably wouldn't cost much, and he has the experience that Green Bay needs in its passing game.

He would be the perfect addition for a Packers team that absolutely needs him.
