On Sunday afternoon, the NBA announced that Washington Wizards forward Markieff Morris has been fined $15,000 for his comments against an official during their game against the Atlanta Hawks on April 6.

The Wizards lost the game, 97-103. After the said incident, Morris received his second technical of the game and was subsequently ejected. He just played eight minutes and left with four points, two rebounds, and one assist. He shot just 1-of-6 from the field. For the season, he is averaging 11.5 points a game, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 26.9 minutes.

Below is the video of Morris' ejection, after two technical fouls:

It's difficult to tell what Morris said, though it is evident that he didn't stop talking even after receiving the first technical.

He currently has 13 technical fouls for the season for 6th most in the NBA. If he manages to get 16, NBA rules state that he would have to serve a one-game suspension. Dwight Howard, with 17 technical fouls, leads the NBA. He is followed by Draymond Green (15), Kevin Durant (14), Russell Westbrook (14), and Blake Griffin (14).

If there weren't only two games left in the season, Morris would have to be a lot more careful. Thankfully, the Wizards have locked up a playoff spot and the technical foul counter resets once the playoffs begin. If the playoffs start now, they would face the first seeded Toronto Raptors. Their season series is locked a 2-2. They might have a strong chance of upsetting the Raptors. Hopefully, Morris doesn't lose his temper.
