Washington Wizards forward Otto Porter Jr. has been dealing with injuries through the early stages of this season. Most recently, a bruised knee has kept him on the sidelines. However, Porter returned to practice on Monday and “looked good,” according to head coach Scott Brooks. As a result, the former No. 3 overall pick has been cleared to play in Wednesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks, according to a report from Candace Buckner of PostSports.

Porter's return is great news for the Wizards, who are dealing with several injuries. John Wall is expected to be out of commission for 6-8 weeks with a heel injury and Dwight Howard is currently out due to back issues. Markieff Morris, who caught an elbow from Lakers superstar LeBron James during a game on Dec. 16, will likely miss Wednesday's matchup against Atlanta, as he's still dealing with a neck injury.

Over the weekend, the Wizards officially announced that Wall will undergo “debridement and repair of a Haglund's deformity and a chronic Achilles tendon injury in his left heel.” According to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk, the surgery will take place next week.
