According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Washington Wizards are in advanced talks on a deal to acquire Phoenix forward Trevor Ariza. Both teams are trying to finalize a multi-team trade tonight.

Wojnarowski adds that the deal is now a three-team trade involving the Wizards, Suns, and Memphis Grizzlies. Ariza will head to the Washington, Kelly Oubre is headed to Memphis, while Austin Rivers and a pair of Memphis role players are headed to Phoenix.

Ariza was signed this past offseason, and the Suns first chance to trade him comes tonight 12AM EST on December 15th. The current Suns forward actually played two years with the Wizards from 2012 to 2014, averaging 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.9 made three-pointers per game.
In his fourth season in the NBA, Oubre is averaging 13 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 steal, and 1.5 three-pointers per game on 43.3 percent shooting.
Article Continues BelowComing off a career-year last season with the Clippers where he averaged 15.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, Rivers struggled in Washington averaging just 7.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists on 38.6 percent shooting in 28 games.
UPDATE:
Wojnarowski reports that Memphis is also sending Wayne Selden and MarShon Brooks to the Suns as well as a 2019 and 2020 second-round pick to the Wizards.
