The Indiana Fever were hit with the injury bug in the second half of the season, but they have still been able to earn a playoff spot to compete for a championship. Unfortunately, they will be without Cailtin Clark, who announced about a week ago that she would not be returning this season because of her groin injury.
That doesn't mean that Clark hasn't still been active on the team, and not only is she supporting them, but also the people who cover the team. Before their game against the Minnesota Lynx, Clark gifted ESPN broadcasters Rebecca Lobo and Ryan Ruocco basketballs.

It was probably a small token of appreciation for the broadcasters for all the work they do throughout the season, covering the league consistently. Lobo and Ruocco are some of the best in the business when it comes to calling WNBA games, and there's no doubt that they deserve the gift.
The Fever will now focus on the playoffs, but their opponent has not been set yet. Some players have their preference on who they want to play, and Sophie Cunningham recently shared on the Show Me Something podcast who she'd want to face in the first round
“I think I’m really leaning towards Atlanta because you’re in the same time zone,” Cunningham said. “The flight is like an hour and fifteen. Or if you get Vegas it’s a different time zone, longer flight. Minnesota it’s only an hour time change, but I just don’t want to play Minnesota.”
It would be a better travel-wise for the Fever to face the Dream, but it's going to take some help from other teams for that to happen. For Cunningham, she won't be able to play as she tore her ACL this season, but she still may be with the team through the postseason.
