In today’s WWE News, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, known during her time with the company as Sunny, has been arrested and charged for two third-degree weapons charges, plus one fourth-degree charge of making terroristic threats, then taken to the Monmouth County, New Jersey jail.
If convicted in all three charges, Sunny could face up to 11 years in prison. Her weapon charges don’t appear to be firearms-related.
Known as WWE’s First Diva, Sunny has been coming in and out of prison for the past three years, which all started with a DUI charge back in 2018. She has been facing legal troubles as early as 2012 and has been arrested on multiple occasions in the past decade.
First appearing in Smoky Mountain Wrestling in 1992, Sunny would be brought into the WWF in 1995 as the manager of The Boddydonnas, who would win the WWF World Tag Team Champions. She would later be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2011 and would be listed by WWE in 2021 as one of the WWE female wrestlers who have had the most impact outside of the ring. She also had wrestling stints in ECW, WCW, and ROH, before leaving the wrestling industry for good in 2019. Her last WWE appearance was as part of a 25-women Battle Royal in April 2009.
