As a WWE Hall of Famer-turned-backstage producer, few performers have had as up close and personal of an experience in the WWE Universe as Molly Holly, the two-time Woman's World Champion who has since gone on to work with current generation champions like Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and beyond.

With 503 matches wrestled, hundreds more experiences outside of the ring, and three different title reigns on her resume rounded out by a day with the now-defunct Hardcore Championship, Holly knows what it takes to be successful as a member of the WWE Universe and has been willing to pass that along to future generations of WWE Superstars, a sign of WWE really appreciating what she brings to the table.

Sitting down for an interview with Jack Farmer of Wrestling Inc, Holly was asked about one of her favorite in-ring performers, Charlotte Flair, and what makes her so special between the bells. After naming Flair as a performer she would like to wrestle once more if afforded a chance, Holly noted that what makes “The Queen” so good is her commitment to greatness both inside and out of the ring.

“She eat, sleeps, breathes this business,” Molly Holly told Wrestling Inc. “The wrestling is her life. She is a perfectionist. I have had very few conversations about anything other than how she can be better, even though she's already one of the best. And so I think one of the reasons why I may have mentioned her in the past is just that I know that she could make me look better than I really am, and I need all the help I can get. Now that I'm more connected to the WWE, I do see other people who are also amazing, who are also very dedicated and extraordinary that I'm in awe of. In that particular interview, I probably mentioned Charlotte, but there's a reason why she is at the top.”

While some fans like to critique Flair for her, shall we say, inconsistent effort in the ring depending on the venue of her match, if Holly thinks “The Queen” is a top performer worthy of her in-ring time, then what else is there really to be said?

Molly Holly discusses returning to WWE as a producer.

Elsewhere in her conversation with Jack Farmer of Wrestling Inc, Molly Holly was asked about returning to WWE as a producer in 2021 after wrestling from the promotion from 2000-05 and sporadically from that point on.

“So I was nervous because I wasn't sure. Beth Phoenix had told me, ‘No, the business has changed a lot. All the things that you didn't like before are now not there. It's really great.' So I took her word for it and gave it a try backstage. And it was awesome that I did have a lot of my friends from the past. Charles Robinson, Chad Patton. There's a ring crew guy named Nick Daw. Some of the camera guys are still there. Just a lot of the backstage people that I used to spend time with 20 years ago are still there. So in that part, it definitely felt like a class reunion or like, oh, these are my friends,” Molly Holly told Wrestling Inc.

“And it was good to see them, but there is a lot of people there that I had never met before. And at first, I didn't even know how involved should I be. Should I step back and observe the culture, like how people interact? But honestly, I feel like I fell right into place as far as fitting in. And I really liked a lot of the new performers, they used to watch me on TV when they were kids. So it's fun to hear their perspective of my career just from being fans of mine and then to be a part of what they're doing now and to give them encouragement. So I really, really like working backstage. It's been really fun.”

While Holly has remained at least semi-active since leaving WWE as a full-time performer, most recently making an appearance at the 2021 Royal Rumble and wrestling a match under her Mighty Molly gimmick for Chikara as part of the promotion's King of Trios tournament – losing to the team of El Hijo del Ice Cream, Ice Cream Jr, and Kikutaro, if you can believe it – jumping back into The Fed in 2023 must have required a pretty steep learning curve, especially when Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over for Vince McMahon last Summer. Still, with a wealth of experience on her resume, it's safe to say Holly still has plenty to contribute to the current generation of professional wrestling, and her addition to the backstage area has been a positive one.
