Wins are more fun when they are walk-offs and George Kirby's Seattle Mariners did just that against the New York Yankees. Kirby faced Aaron Judge after lagging behind 2-0. Eventually, the domination started for the Scott Servais-managed Mariners as they got three nasty fastballs and a strike. The game ended with Seattle winning 1-0. Manager Aaron Boone's mouth soured after the game.

Boone had a few choice words on the Mariners' pitcher after his Yankees lost.

“We scored a bunch obviously in the first two games, but that doesn't take away that this team as a whole can really pitch. Kirby is one of those guys. We just couldn't mount much against him. Good fastball; two-seam and four-seam,” the Yankees manager said praising Kirby's pitching performance for the night, per Daniel Kramer of the MLB.

Even Scott Servais noticed Kirby's changed demeanor in the dugout.

“Oh, he was about ready to rip somebody's head off,” the Mariners manager declared as he saw his pitcher dominate against the Yankees.

George Kirby did rip heads as he totaled a 3.04 ERA. The Mariners pitcher also recorded seven strikeouts of his team's nine to end the game. To round out his performance he had a 95-pitch count to 67 strikes.  Kirby was hungry the whole game as he pitched in eight innings. He only allowed Paul Sewald and Justin Topa one inning to pitch each for the whole game.

The Yankees hope to bounce back from this loss in their next game against Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts' Los Angeles Dodgers.
