Bellator Paris: Patchy Mix vs. Magomed Magomedov continues on the main card with a fight in the featherweight division between Yves Landu and Jonas Bilharinho. Landu comes into this fight winning four straight fights meanwhile, Bilharinho has won back-to-back fights with his most recent victory coming by way of knockout. With that said, check out our Bellator Paris Series odds for our Landu-Bilharinho prediction and pick.

Yves Landu (20-9) shows that age is just a number as he is riding a four-fight winning streak as he comes into his 30th professional bout. He gets to show that he is one of the elite featherweights on Bellator's roster when he welcomes Jonas Bilharinho to the Bellator cage this Friday in Paris.

Jonas Bilharinho (11-2-1) got snubbed in his chance to fight in the UFC after winning emphatically with a wheel kick knockout on the Contender Series in 2021. Since then, he's gone 2-1 most recently brutally knocking out Caio Machado with a body kick at LFA 151. Bilharinho will be looking to make a statement in his Bellator debut when he takes on longtime veteran Yves Landu this Friday in Paris.

Why Yves Landu Will Win

Yves Landu is now riding a four-fight winning streak coming into his seventh fight with Bellator racking up a 5-1 record with the promotion. His most recent victory was a split decision victory against Isao Kobayashi back in November 2023. Now, Landu gets to welcome promotional newcomer Jonas Bilharinho to the Bellator cage on Friday night in Paris in hopes of continuing his winning ways in front of his home crowd.

Landu may be 37 years old but he still has a lot of fight left in him. His last loss has come against Tim Wilde who was on a tear before his last knockout loss and that was three years ago. Since then he's rattled off four straight wins with one of those coming by way of knockout over the last three years. Landu is a well-rounded fighter that has the ability to win the fight on the feet as well as on the mat and he's at his best when he's mixing the two. That is what he will need to do against the dangerous Jonas Bilharinho. Bilharinho is a great rangy striker and the best way to beat a fighter like that is to make it a gritty fight that's fought inside the clinch with a lot of grappling. If Landu can get past the length and movement of Bilharinho he can drag this fight to the mat and overwhelm him there to a potential finish or outwork him throughout the fight for a decision victory.

Why Jonas Bilharinho Will Win

Jonas Bilharinho tried his shot to get into the UFC on the Contender Series and had a beautiful wheel kick knockout in round three but surprisingly wasn't signed. He then went to the drawing back winning two of his next three bouts most recently coming off a body kick knockout of Caio Machado under the LFA promotion. Now, he will be looking to make a statement in his promotional debut against Yves Landu this Friday night in Paris.

Bilharinho does his best work on the feet where he can utilize his karate style to kick his opponents at range and counter them when they attempt to get into boxing range. He is deceptively quick and is very hard to track down and the only way to beat him is to corral him against the cage and take him down but that is easier said than done. As long as Bilharinho can utilize his lateral movement and not get pressed against the cage he should have no problem picking apart Landu on the feet to either a wide decision or a knockout victory.

Final Yves Landu-Jonas Bilharinho Prediction & Pick

This should be an interesting fight between a Bellator veteran and a Bellator newcomer. Landu is a fighter who has been defying the odds lately as he did against Kobayashi squeaking past via split decision and now he will have to do it again when he takes on Jonas Bilharinho. Bilharinho is looking to make a good first impression in his Bellator debut and if he looks even half as good as he did against Machado he should have this fight in the bag. Ultimately, Landu will attempt to press the action and get on the inside of the kicks of Bilharinho but Bilharinho will do a good job at maintaining his distance and utilizing his leg kicks and distance to his advantage outstriking Landu with relative ease to a unanimous decision victory or a possible late stoppage.
