Isaac Okoro is headed to Cleveland after the Cavaliers selected him with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Okoro needed just one season at Auburn to show NBA teams he was ready for the pros. He averaged 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 51.4 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 67.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Okoro's stellar season at Auburn earned him three awards. He was named to the second-team All-SEC club, the SEC All-Defensive team and the SEC All-Freshman team.

At 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds, Okoro does most of his damage near the rim. His best game at Auburn came on January 8, 2020 against Vanderbilt. Okoro put up 23 points, six rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes while shooting 6-of-9 from the floor, 1-of-1 from beyond the arc and 10-of-14 from the free-throw line. He helped Auburn defeat Vanderbilt by a final score of 83-79.

Since he enjoys playing defense and is good on that end of the floor, Okoro figures to be a coach's dream in the NBA. His outside shot certainly needs a lot of work, but Okoro has a high motor and seemingly always took high percentage shots in college.

It will certainly be interesting to track Isaac Okoro's NBA career and watch him develop over the years.

The Cavs get a high upside defensive player in Okoro who can likely take opponents' best wing player. Cleveland still has a long way to go while rebuilding.
