For more than a decade, Stephen Curry has been wowing audiences all across the globe with his flashy play, charismatic smile, and his elite shooting ability that has never been replicated in the history of the game.

Ever since his playing days in college at Davidson where he introduced himself to the basketball scene after leading his troops to an Elite Eight appearance back in 2008, Curry has been on top of the basketball world. Davidson's improbable run marked only the beginning for the budding superstar, as the son of former NBA sharpshooter Del Curry was well on his way to making a name for himself in the association. While few expected him to transform the game into what is now today and arguably become the greatest shooter on the face of the Earth, Curry knew he had it in him all along.

Fast forward nearly 13 years later, and Curry not only has made his mark on the league but now has a chance to cement his legacy as one of the all-time greats to ever play the game with another championship under his belt.

When looking at this series from a pure scoring aspect, there should be plenty of points scored throughout this series. The Warriors rank out as the number one ranked team in points scored per game with 114.5 in the postseason through 16 games played. On the other hand, Boston has averaged the eighth-most PPG at 107.1 With both squads ranking in the top half of scoring teams in the playoffs, each defense will be tested in unique ways as well. Defensively, the Celtics have the Warriors beat in the fact that they are surrendering the second-fewest points throughout the postseason at 101.0. In comparison, the Warriors have given up 109.1 PPG during the postseason, which would represent the eighth fewest out of all of the 16 teams.

No question, something has to give, and it will probably be the offenses that will stand out in this series. Most squads that have opposed the Warriors during their championship runs over the past half-decade have rarely been able to slow down the offensive prowess that Golden State possesses, so don't expect that to change against Boston.

In Curry's playoff career, he is averaging 26.4 PPG, which would obviously fall under the 28.5 mark set by FanDuel. However, in Curry's last playoff appearance coming in 2018-1019, he came close to that number with 28.2 points averaged in 22 total games. With a smaller sample size set to take place in these Finals, those who are doubting Curry's ability to score that many points on the biggest basketball stage in the world will be sadly mistaken. Take Curry and the over, as it is risky business doing otherwise.

2022 NBA Finals Steph Curry Points Average Prediction: Over 27.5 (-113)
