2023 NBA Finals Odds: Popular prop bets with the most value

Jimmy Butler Over 1.5 Three's: +196

Jamal Murray 32.5 Combined Points and Assists: +108

Nikola Jokic First Basket Scorer: +390

Why Jimmy Butler Will Make Two Three-Pointers

Despite not necessarily being known for his three-point shooting prowess, Jimmy Butler has been stroking it from deep over the course of his last couple games. Against the Celtics in Games 6 and 7, Butler has shot 46.5% from three including hitting two and three three-pointers in his last two performances. Without a doubt, “Jimmy Buckets” will be in a scoring mode going up against a high-octane Nuggets squad that can score points in flurries, so it would not be a surprise if Butler pulled up from way downtown more often than not. As a whole, Jimmy actually shot a decent 35% from beyond the arc and is a better shooter than many people would think. Alas, make sure to hammer this prop as the value is certainly tantalizing at +196.

Why Jamal Murray Will Combine for 32.5 Points and Assists

Second on this list, it would be wise to rely on Jamal Murray to be in his bag during Game 1 on this Thursday night. Although he can tend to be streaky at times, it has became quite obvious that Murray is a playoff riser, and his historically one of the best postseason performers in recent memory. In addition, Murray has improved over the past several seasons in regard to his ability to rack up assists in the passing game, as he is currently averaging 6.1 assists per game. Simply put, Murray has quickly transformed into quite the underrated passer.

All together, Murray is averaging a combined 33.8 points and assists throughout his 15 postseason games played up to this point and he should not be expected to slow down whatsoever. The biggest key here is for Jamal Murray to gain confidence early with his shot. Without a doubt, Murray should be expected to be a facilitator throughout this one, but after a nine-day layoff, hitting some open and contested shots early will prove to be critical.  Whether it's driving to the hoop or stepping back for clutch threes, this player prop seems to be one where you must wager upon!

Why Nikola Jokic Will be the First Basket Scorer

Coming in at +390 to record the first basket of the ballgame, siding with Nikola Jokic to get the job done in this prop is a no-brainer. Not only is Jokic averaging the most points by any player on both sides in this postseason, but in the 84 games combined that the Serbian wonder has started in this season, he has managed to score the first in 27% of those outings. The only downside here is the fact that Jokic possesses a pass-first mentality as he loves to get his teammates involved especially early.

However, Jokic's matchup will be the 6'9″ Bam Adebayo who is at quite the height disadvantage in comparison to the 6'11” Jokic, so don't be shocked if the Nuggets big man takes advantage of this mismatch from the opening tip on the first possession. If he decides to, then selecting Jokic to be the first basket scorer seems like a no-brainer.
