NFL free agency is approaching quickly, and teams will be eager to improve their rosters. Washington Commanders offensive guard Brandon Scherff likely is going to be one of the best offensive linemen on the market and will be highly pursued.

While Scherff is 30 years old, he will still be a good lineman for years to come. Scherff is a five-time Pro Bowler and was a First Team AP All-Pro in 2020. Protecting the quarterback is vital for having a successful team, which is why he will draw a ton of interest.

He is one of the best offensive guards in the game with his great pass and run blocking ability.

With that said, here are the three best landing spots for Brandon Scherff in 2022 NFL free agency, ranked.

Brandon Scherff Free Agency Landing Spots

3. Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. They made it to the postseason despite facing multiple controversies throughout the season. Las Vegas will look to build upon their success and improve in the offseason to become a Super Bowl contender.

The Raiders have a solid roster and just need to upgrade a few positions. Their offensive line could use some work, which is why Scherff would be a good fit. While he won't solve all of their blocking problems, he would instantly improve the unit.

Quarterback Derek Carr was sacked 43 times last season, including the playoffs. That was tied for the fourth-most in the NFL.

It will take multiple additions to the offensive line to become an elite unit, but signing Scherff would be a great start.

2. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens had a disappointing season. They missed the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Star quarterback Lamar Jackson missed five games, which was a big contributing factor.

The dual-threat quarterback often escapes pressure but didn't have a ton of protection last season. Jackson was sacked 38 times, despite only playing in 12 games. A re-tool of the offensive line would be extremely beneficial for the Ravens getting back to the playoffs.

Signing Scherff would bring them closer to that goal and help Jackson stay healthy. With his unique style of play, Jackson is susceptible to injuries. Building a strong offensive line for him will help them become a Super Bowl contender.

1. Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals had an unexpected phenomenal season, making it to the Super Bowl. Although they came up short in the Super Bowl to the Los Angeles Rams, it was an incredible run.

Before the season, not many people expected the Bengals to even make it to the playoffs. Second-year quarterback Joe Burrow led the young roster deep into the playoffs. Cincinnati has an explosive offense and solid defense, which will make them a contender for many years.

While the team has a lot of talent, the weakness is clearly their offensive line. Burrow was sacked 51 times in the regular season and 19 times in the playoffs.

To their credit, the Bengals were still within a couple of minutes of winning the Super Bowl. That was in spite of the constant duress Burrow was under all season. Improving this unit should be a top priority. Scherff would be a plug-and-play fit for them as he fits the scheme well.

His veteran presence would also help Cincinnati, as he would bring experience to a young roster.
