The Seattle Seahawks ushered in a rebuild era with the trade of star quarterback Russell Wilson and the release of All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner. As such, the Seahawks may not be as involved in the 2022 NFL's free agency period as they would have been. One of their most notable free agents, left tackle Duane Brown, just so happens to be one of their most important, given the state of their offensive line. However, Brown's age, 36, makes him an imperfect fit for the Seahawks, considering the team's timeline. However, the veteran tackle still has plenty left in the tank and reportedly isn't considering retirement at this point. Perhaps Brown may find himself wearing another uniform in 2022, unless the Seahawks get other ideas. That said, here are the three best free agent landing spots for Brown in the 2022 NFL free agency period, ranked.

3. Seahawks

The Seahawks may not decide that they want to rebuild. Seattle may opt to retool instead, perhaps swinging a trade for someone like Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans, a rumor that may be picking up steam. Whether the Seahawks decide to win now, they need to provide their next quarterback with the best offensive line possible, so that they don't have to deal with the problems that Wilson dealt with as a member of the franchise. Brown was the Seahawks' best graded lineman, per Pro Football Focus. Letting him walk as a free agent could potentially be disastrous. The Seahawks must do everything they can to re-sign Brown.

2. Dolphins

The Dolphins are armed with a significant amount of cap space and a young quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa who has had to play behind a less-than-stellar offensive line. In fact, Pro Football Focus reports that the Dolphins' offensive line surrendered the most pressures in the league this past season, certainly not ideal for a team attempting to evaluate a young signal-caller. Brown, who graded out as a solid 69.9 pass blocker this past year, would immediately solidify Tagovailoa's blindside for at least one season, giving the Dolphins a better chance at finding out if he can be a franchise guy.

1. Rams

The Rams had one of the best left tackles in the league this past season, Andrew Whitworth. Whitworth, however, is 40 years old and thought to be seriously considering retirement. If so, that would leave a gaping hole for the Rams at left tackle, an unwise scenario given how well quarterback Matthew Stafford played behind the line this past year en route to the Super Bowl victory. Los Angeles is unquestionable in win-now mode and would need to quickly find someone to fill the void left behind by Whitworth, if he ultimately decides to hang the cleats up. The Rams likely won't be able to afford top free agent left tackle Terron Armstead, though someone like Brown, who is a solid veteran, would be affordable for the Rams. Not only would Brown serve as a stop-gap option for the remaining years of the Rams' championship window, but he would also allow the team to find a more permanent player at the position down the road, instead of this offseason. And the Rams would be stealing him from a division rival.
