His impact would be immediately felt to any team he'd be joining and he'd undoubtedly elevate their secondary be it with the Patriots or elsewhere. With several teams looking to upgrade their secondary's this offseason, Jackson definitely won't have any shortage of suitors. So without further ado, let's now discuss the three best landing spots for JC Jackson in 2022 NFL free agency, ranked.
JC Jackson Free Agency Landing Spots:
Joining a tailor-made Super Bowl favorite would make things a whole lot easier for Jackson when considering his options in NFL free agency. Especially if the team is able to successfully bring back Tyrann Mathieu in the offseason. He'd complete their secondary and amplify their pass defense with his diverse skillset, relentlessness, and situational awareness.
In the same way Mathieu completely transformed their defensive unit, JC Jackson would elevate the Chiefs even further and prove to be the perfect addition for them. If the Chiefs want to rev things up a few notches and bring another bonafide superstar into the mix, then making a play for JC Jackson during the 2022 NFL offseason would be a move well worth it for them.
2. San Francisco 49ers
Pulling off this transaction may prove to be more of a long shot for the 49ers, but if they are able to add JC Jackson to their top-notch defensive unit, then it would be an absolute game-changer for the Red and Gold. Jackson would dominate in the Bay Area and be able to thrive while playing with a star-studded defense. On the 49ers, he'd bring a level of tenacity and aggression that would mesh very well with San Francisco's brand of smashmouth football.
If the 49ers are able to acquire Jackson this offseason, then they'd undoubtedly boast the most complete defense in the league. Jackson would also give them the CB1 they've desperately been in need of over the past few seasons and he could prove to be their missing link on defense.
1. New England Patriots
This would be the most logical choice for JC Jackson to make during free agency given his previous successes and established role with the team. Running it back with the New England Patriots would be the safest bet for both him and the organization as he's a known quantity for head coach Bill Belichick and would give them the explosiveness and athleticism they need at the position.
Not to mention he'd continue to improve and excel in the Patriots' defensive schemes. If he wants to stick it out with a perennial playoff contender while helping to reel in an exciting new era in Foxborough, then this would be the best landing spot for JC Jackson in NFL free agency – especially if he and the Pats want to reclaim the AFC East and earn home-field advantage during the 2023 NFL playoffs.
