With the 2022 NFL free agency quickly approaching, it's time for us to dive into Marcus Maye's offseason outlook. Although the New York Jets would love to re-sign him, it might be best for Maye to hit the open market. He was on pace to have a career year until an injury cut it short. Even so, plenty of teams should have him on their radar.

Marcus Maye is a talented safety who is often overlooked. The Jets' defense was awful last year, but Maye has been a bright spot throughout his career. Anyone who signs him will be receiving a solid player, as he'll be an immediate upgrade for any franchise seeking a safety. It's unclear what he'll fetch in free agency, but we could see a bidding war take place this offseason.
At the end of the day, three teams stand out as potential suitors for Marcus Maye. One is currently rebuilding the roster, while the other two will be potential playoff contenders next season. We'll see how it all plays out, but Maye should consider signing with a franchise that desperately needs a safety.

Although the Detroit Lions likely won't make the playoffs next year, they should be going all-in on obtaining Marcus Maye. The team played well for Dan Campbell but ultimately couldn't finish games. Their defense was dreadful, but they do have exciting pieces on that side of the ball. Signing Maye could elevate the secondary to new heights, which would improve the defense overall.
Adding Maye to the lineup would be an exciting move for the Lions. Jeff Okudah should bounce back, giving Detroit a great young secondary moving forward. Look for this franchise to potentially sign Marcus Maye, as he'd be a great leader for the front office to build around.

The Philadelphia Eagles proved to be better than many anticipated last season. Darius Slay played like a top cornerback in the league, making Philadelphia rather difficult to score against. Adding Marcus Maye would be a great all-in move for this franchise, as they aim to take over the NFC East. They could use Maye's abilities at safety, as he'd be a great anchor for this defense to rely on.

Signing Marcus Maye would be a brilliant move for the Eagles. Not only would their defense improve, but they'd potentially put the league on notice. Philadelphia proved to be a dangerous team last season, but Maye would put them over the top. Thus, increasing their chances of making a repeat appearance in the playoffs.
Injuries hurt this franchise in more ways than one. However, the Ravens are in line to possibly have the best roster in the NFL next year. Signing Marcus Maye would go a long way for this team, as they'd set themselves up for a potential Super Bowl run next season.
Not only does Maye fill a need for this defense, but it would allow the Ravens to focus on other areas throughout the remainder of the offseason. Baltimore would be set up nicely on defense, which in turn, pairs well with their amazing offense. Look for this franchise to make some big moves throughout the 2022 NFL free agency, as they have a chance to set themselves apart from the rest of the league.
