The Minnesota Timberwolves played a notch higher in the 2021-22 NBA season after making it through the postseason as the seventh seed. Though they fell out of the first round against the Memphis Grizzlies, the development of the team has been evident and they can continue to progress from this point onwards.

Chris Finch's squad will have a chance to add another rotational player in the 2022 NBA Draft with the 19th overall pick in the first round. Though most of the marquee names are already gone by then, Minnesota still has plenty of options on the board as they aim to snatch a young talent who can contribute right away next season.

With that said, let's take a look at the three best prospects for the Timberwolves with the 19th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

3 best options for Timberwolves with No. 19 pick

3. Dyson Daniels

Australian guard Dyson Daniels is only 19-years-old but he has already garnered significant playing experience in his native land with stints at the NBL1 and the NBA Global Academy. He then suited up for the G League Ignite after turning down several offers to play collegiate basketball in the States.

In the G League, Daniels served as the team's primary facilitator and averaged 11.3 points, 4.4 assists, and 5.9 rebounds for the 2021-22 season. Since the Timberwolves still have D'Angelo Russell as their lead guard, the incoming rookie will have more time to develop and learn from the veterans in the team's backcourt unit.

He will surely have to improve his long-range shot as he only made 25.5% of his attempts in the past season. After a year of playing in the developmental league, Daniels will most likely need less time to adjust to the pace of the NBA as he tries to make an immediate impact for the Timberwolves, should they opt to draft him.

2. E.J. Liddell

Based on need, power forward E.J. Liddell can be a viable option for Minnesota at No. 19. Throughout the 2021-22 season, the Timberwolves lacked brawn as they didn't have a player who can force his way inside and play bully ball down low. Plus their frontcourt unit only consists of Karl-Anthony Towns and Naz Reid who have more finesse playing styles as compared to the other big men in the league.

In three years of playing at Ohio State, Liddell has shown that he can use his size to carve space for himself at the post. His shooting stroke also improved through the years as he shot a respectable 37.4% from beyond the arc in his final year of playing with the Buckeyes. Liddell concluded his collegiate career with a solid line of 19.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks in 32 appearances.

Standing at 6-foot-7, he may be quite undersized for a power forward in the NBA but his versatility and athleticism can make up for it as he tries to carve a sizable role at the next level. If Liddell lands with the Timberwolves then they will finally have a bruiser who can also be a reliable scorer from various spots on the floor from time to time.

1. MarJon Beauchamp

Another product of the G League Ignite, wingman MarJon Beauchamp presents himself as an intriguing choice for the Timberwolves midway through the first round. The Washington native had a short stint with Yakima Valley College before taking his talents to the developmental league for the 2021-22 season.

Beauchamp was one of Ignite's leading contributors with an average of 15.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. Standing at 6-foot-6, he can certainly use his physical tools to make an impact for any team in the league. However, he will have to improve his shot from beyond the arc as he only settled for a measly 24.2% in the G League.

Out of all the players listed, Beauchamp is the most talented and ready to contribute right from the get-go. Also, he can serve as another scoring threat for Minnesota alongside D'Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards on the floor. However, the Timberwolves will have to race with other teams as it is uncertain whether or not he will still be available by the time they select with the 19th pick.
