The 2022 NFL offseason is quickly approaching and the Tennessee Titans aim to build upon an already stacked team. Outside of the tight end position, there aren't too many holes within the roster, making this an exciting NFL Draft for Tennessee. However, rumors are that Aaron Rodgers is interested in joining this franchise. For that reason, we take a look at this potential Titans trade.
Many are upset with Ryan Tannehill and Todd Downing. Between the numerous turnovers and predictable play calling, the Titans' season came to a sudden end. Tennessee has a chance to add much-needed youth to the roster through the draft. However, if Aaron Rodgers is truly showing interest, this is something the front office must explore.
It will be tough for the Titans to pull off a trade for Rodgers, as Tannehill's contract makes it rather difficult. Maybe the Green Bay Packers would be willing to take Ryan Tannehill in a quarterback swap. Either way, Tennessee would need to make sure they have a way to dump that contract to acquire Aaron Rodgers. This of course is all speculation, but it's a trade that could come to fruition if his interest picks up steam.
With that said, here are three reasons why a Titans trade for Aaron Rodgers must happen.

Potential Titans Trade for Aaron Rodgers
3. Aaron Rodgers is better than Ryan Tannehill
Okay, this is an obvious one but it's true. Ryan Tannehill has done a good job throughout the regular season since taking over as the starting quarterback. However, three years in a row, Tannehill has come up short in the playoffs. Considering Aaron Rodgers has a Super Bowl ring, the Titans might be better off with someone who has won a championship before.
Tannehill is viewed across the league as a slightly above-average quarterback. Whereas Rodgers is viewed as one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. For that reason alone, the Titans should pull the trigger if Aaron Rodgers actually wants to play for Tennessee.
Article Continues Below2. The offense goes completely over the top
The Titans' offense is already stacked, but could you imagine what it'd be like with Aaron Rodgers under center? He'd be surrounded by Julio Jones, AJ Brown, Derrick Henry, and whoever else Tennessee acquires in the offseason. Not to mention, the defense is absolutely loaded. The idea seems too good to be true, but if this comes to fruition, who is stopping this team?
Unfortunately, some fans may have an answer to that question. If Todd Downing remains as the offensive coordinator, his atrocious play-calling could bite the Titans in the behind. However, with Aaron Rodgers in the pocket, Tennessee should be able to overcome Downing's inability to run an exciting offense. Either way, if Rodgers finds himself in Nashville, fans should be extremely excited.
1. Titans become the top Super Bowl contender in 2023
Tennessee ended the regular season as the top seed of the AFC even though they suffered more injuries than any other team in the league. There is no doubt the Titans will return to the playoffs next year. They are already considered Super Bowl contenders and can be for years to come. Acquiring Aaron Rodgers would make this team the outright favorite to win the big game in 2023.
We'll see how it all plays out, as Rodgers is bound to be a hot commodity throughout the 2022 NFL offseason. Even so, the Titans are in a Super Bowl window, and acquiring him would be the ultimate all-in move for this franchise. Keep an eye on Tennessee and Rodgers, as the rumor mill could heat up as time passes.
