Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are set to take on the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 6. It is a game that means a lot for both of these teams, as they are both looking to compete for a playoff spot at the end of the season.

There is absolutely no denying the fact that the Packers have gotten off to a hot start this season. Despite some issues that could come into play later on in the year, Green Bay has a ton of talent and they are looking like a team that could compete in the NFC. Detroit has played well, but many think they will fall off at some point.

No matter what everyone thinks, the game has to be played. Detroit looked good against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and they are ready to take on Rodgers and Green Bay.

Matt LaFleur has slowly been proving that his offense works in Green Bay. They have already defeated the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings this season. Starting the year with three wins over the other three teams in the division would be awesome for the Packers.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at four reasons the Packers will come away with a win on Monday Night Football against Detroit.

4. The Pass Rush Is Going to Get To Stafford

One of the keys to the hot start for the Packers this season has been their ability to get to opposing quarterbacks. Mike Pettine received the gift of the “Smith Brothers” this offseason in free agency.

Preston and Za'Darius Smith have become two of the best pass rushers in the league and are showing no signs of slowing down. Rashan Gary and Kyler Fackrell are also more than capable pass rushers. Throw in the fact that Green Bay has guys like Kenny Clark, Blake Martinez, and even Dean Lowry and their pass rush will wreak havoc on the Lions all game long.

3. Aaron Jones Is Just Getting Started

Next up, the Packers received a massive performance on the ground from Aaron Jones last week against the Cowboys. He racked up 107 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries. That's right, Jones found the end zone four times on the ground.

Jones is just getting started and he isn't going to slow down much this week. While scoring four touchdowns on the ground likely isn't in the cards this week, Jones has big-time potential for another good game. Green Bay loves pounding the football and the Lions are going to have a tough time stopping them.

2. Green Bay's Secondary Has Been Making Plays This Year

Pettine has a lethal pass rush, but he also has a secondary that has proven that they can make plays. That has been a huge difference for the Packers this season compared to recent years.

Jaire Alexander is one of the league's top up-and-coming cornerbacks, while Kevin King has stayed relatively healthy and is making a huge impact. Darnell Savage will miss this week's game, but Adrian Amos and Will Redmond are more than capable of stepping up. Stafford will make some mistakes this week and the Packers are going to capitalize on them.

1. Quite Simply, Aaron Rodgers

Finally, the name Aaron Rodgers has struck fear in the hearts of defenses since he took over for Brett Favre. He is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game and has had a solid year so far.

It has taken some time for Rodgers to get used to LaFleur's system, but he seems to be getting better each and every week. Green Bay is always going to be a threat as long as Rodgers is their quarterback. Detroit simply won't have an answer for Rodgers and the Packers, even with Davante Adams missing this matchup.
