The Philadelphia Eagles lost a tight game to the New England Patriots in Week 11. While it dropped them to 5-5 on the year, it's hard to be too disappointed in a 17-10 loss to arguably the best team in the NFL (9-1 New England).

Philadelphia has not had the year they've been hoping for. But they can get things back on the right track in Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks. Of course, this is one of their tougher matchups of the year. The fact that it's coming just a week after their bout with the Patriots makes it that much harder.

So how do they pull out a victory? Here are four reasons the Eagles could beat the Seahawks in Week 12.

Tight Ends

The Eagles have one of the best tight end duos in the NFL. Zach Ertz is the safe bet. He's going to get open and give you a reliable target.

Sure, he likely won't do anything super flashy. He won't be picking up a ton of yards after the catch either.

What he will be doing though is getting open for those first downs. Ertz has 55 receptions this year. He's picked up 32 first downs with them.

The tight end also has 621 yards and two touchdowns on the year. While the numbers aren't as ridiculous as last season, he's still been one of the most productive players at his position this year.

Meanwhile, Dallas Goedert is the backup. He's sort of the anti-Ertz.

Goeder is big and athletic. He's got speed. Sure, he isn't the reliable target that Ertz is yet. However, he can make highlight reel plays. You can go to him deep, or give him something short and watch him do the rest.

On the year, Goedert has 24 receptions for 257 yards and four touchdowns. He's proven he can be the guy at tight end on an offense.

The fact that the two get to play on the same side makes them that much more dangerous. And they can be a factor in a major upset win for Philadelphia.

Running Backs

The Eagles also have a very underrated group of running backs. Jordan Howard is questionable for Sunday. However, if he plays he's one of the most underrated running backs in all of football.

All Howard does is pick up yards at a steady clip. On the year, he has 525 yards and six touchdowns on 119 carries (4.4 yards per carry). He also has 10 receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown.

Howard is a legitimate beast. For some reason he gets very little notice though.

Meanwhile, Miles Sanders is enjoying a strong rookie year. He has 374 yards and one touchdown on 87 carries (4.3 yards per carry). He also has 24 receptions for 314 yards and one touchdown.

Sanders is a spark plug. He can get those massive plays at any moment and has proven himself to be ready for a bigger role.

Having two running backs like this helps Philadelphia a lot. They can keep both fresh because they don't need to have one carry the heavy load for all that long.

Both have had big games this year, and when they are both working it on the same week, it leads to a Philadelphia victory.

If they do that again in Week 12, the Eagles could beat the Seahawks.

Pass Rush

Seattle has a great all-around team. Their MVP is Russell Wilson though. There is really no argument for anyone else. In fact, Wilson very well could be the MVP front-runner at the moment for the entire NFL.

Wilson has been basically unstoppable this year. He has not gone up against Philadelphia's pass rush though.

Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Tim Jernigan, Derek Barnett and more. Those big names put fear into any quarterback.

Meanwhile, Seattle has been average-at-best against the pass rush. They've given up 27 sacks this season. That means Wilson is in trouble quite often.

The issue is that the Seahawks don't have that many receiving weapons for Wilson. They just picked up Josh Gordon, and have Tyler Lockett. DK Metcalf is having a good rookie year as well. Outside of that though, Seattle isn't working with much.

And Philadelphia's secondary has played great lately, despite not having many big names. So if they give time, the pass rush can cause a lot of issues. Issues that might lead to Wilson getting sacked quite often, or having a very rare mistake.

Those are the type of plays that could make the Seahawks lose a game.

Home Field Advantage

At 3-2 in Philadelphia this year, you might argue that the Eagles home field advantage isn't all that great.

However, one of those losses was to the Patriots, and it was by seven. You can excuse a team for losing to New England.

Admittedly, the Seahawks aren't much worse at 8-2. The point stands though, the Eagles have a better shot with them at home.

Philadelphia is an atmosphere. The Eagles are a dangerous team any week of the season. Put them at Lincoln Financial Field and you have to worry that much more though.

If the Eagles are going to upset the Seahawks, they'll need to feed off the energy of the crowd. Don't underestimate just how important that noise and support can be.

Philadelphia walking out of Week 12 with a win would be considered a pretty big shock. With the crowd behind them though, anything is possible. Once the Eagles start to pick up some momentum, expect Philadelphia to get loud, real loud.
