Fresh off their Thursday night thriller against the Dallas Cowboys, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to start off their season with back-to-back wins heading into Week 2. In the hopes of winning another championship in 2022, the Bucs are looking to be the first back-to-back Super Bowl champs in almost 20 years.

With a more level playing field than last year, it definitely won't be smooth sailing for the Bucs during their 2021 NFL campaign. Now that they've proven themselves as the team to beat in the NFL, the Bucs will look to make history while bringing another title back home to Raymond James Stadium. Let's check out the four teams that pose the biggest threat to the Buccaneers repeating as Super Bowl champions, ranked.

4. Buffalo Bills

Even though they were dealt a tough loss on Sunday at the hand of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Buffalo Bills will look to get back to their winning ways during their Week 2 match-up against the Miami Dolphins. With a star-studded line-up featuring Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Emmanuel Sanders, and Devin Singletary, this tenacious Bills team definitely has what it takes to get over the hump this season and power their way through to their first Super Bowl win in franchise history.

There's no question that they'd be a worthy opponent to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and have the depth and talent to outlast this explosive Bucs team in a winner-take-all championship matchup. It's still early in the year and the Bills still have a lot to prove, but there's no denying that they'll be a Super Bowl contender come playoff time.

3. San Francisco 49ers

After a close win against a young and determined Detroit Lions squad on Sunday afternoon, the San Francisco 49ers are looking to build off of that momentum heading into Week 2. Utilizing a two quarterback system and looking to start an offensive eruption this season, the Niners are ready to win back the NFC in the hopes of getting back to the Super Bowl and redeeming themselves during the 2021-22 NFL season.

Now that they've got all their core guys back healthy, the Niners are ready to dominate on both ends of the field and show the entire league why they're actually the team to beat in the NFC. With Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance looking to run an up-tempo offense and Nick Bosa and Dee Ford back fresh and ready to lead the charge for them on defense, this Niners squad will be laser focused and ready to overtake the Bucs as NFC champions.

There's no question that the Bucs would have their hands full with the Niners and could be completely taken out of their element in a potential playoff matchup. Looking to bring the Lombardi Trophy back the Bay Area, San Fran will be on their A-game and have a clean slate this season while fighting their way back into the NFC elite.

2. Los Angeles Rams

With Matthew Stafford as their new starting quarterback, the Los Angeles Rams seem to have found their missing link on offense. Already boasting a ton of firepower with Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Tyler Higbee, Van Jefferson, and Sony Michel, the Rams now have a perfectly balanced offense with gunslinger Matt Stafford now taking snaps under center for them.

Looking to return to the Super Bowl and have a better outcome than their previous appearance back in 2018, the Rams also possess a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball with Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, and Taylor Rapp. It could spell trouble for Tom Brady and the Bucs if the two were to matchup in the postseason.

Hoping to win back the NFC West and bring home their first title in over 20 years, the Rams undoubtedly pose a threat to the Bucs and have the talent and toughness to deny them of consecutive Super Bowl titles. This is especially true after their lopsided victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday night.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

Seeking vengeance and coming for blood, the reigning AFC champs are ready for a Super Bowl rematch and looking to dish out some serious payback. The Kansas City Chiefs have the Bucs in their sights and will be ready for whatever Tampa Bay throws at them the second time around. Patrick Mahomes is back healthy and the Chiefs have gone to great lengths to upgrade their offensive line and protect their franchise superstar.

Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill are back in the fold and looking to pick apart the Bucs' hard-nosed secondary. Tyrann Mathieu, Chris Jones, and Frank Clark will also be ready to  completely disrupt Tampa Bay's offensive flow and lockdown their explosive offense if a repeat matchup of last year's Super Bowl were to occur. If the Bucs know want to repeat, then they better watch out for this hungry and determined Chiefs squad that has all the skill, drive, and perseverance to overcome the depth and firepower of the reigning Super Bowl champs.
