San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has quickly emerged as one of the top players at his position. In fact, a lot of people would likely refer to Kittle as the very best, and now he's due for a new contract, which means he is likely about to be paid. One thing that you would think would dictate Kittle's contract is the current tight end market.

As one of the best tight ends in football, the 49ers superstar will need to be paid. However, there might be an argument that he could reset the market. Or that he does not deserve as much as someone, or at the same time that he deserves more than someone else.

However, Kittle's agent, Jack Bechta, is not worried about that at all. According to ESPN, Bechta says he is not concerned with the tight end market currently.

“I don't care about the tight end market,” Kittle's agent, Jack Bechta, told NFL Network. “I'm being paid to do a George Kittle deal.”

Easy enough. The tight end is going to get paid because of who he is. Bechta is not worried about anyone else's contract. Likely because he does not think that other contracts should dictate what Kittle gets.

We have all seen how valuable Kittle is to the 49ers. San Francisco would not be near as threatening without their best offensive player.

Due to that, it should not matter what anyone else is getting paid in the tight end market. This is the “Kittle market”. And that's a market that is likely to bring in a truckload of money for the 49ers superstar.
