The San Francisco 49ers suffered a rough end to their undefeated streak as the Seattle Seahawks managed to stop them at the dying seconds of the game. And upon reflection and a bit of analytics, Kyle Shanahan realized that they could have easily won the game if it wasn't for the costly turnovers they made.

He revealed that they lost 108 yards in offense due to the incomplete passes. The 49ers head coach shared with Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio about the process of how they got the numbers, saying that they have a great analytics guy who was crunching up the numbers.

He mentioned that the team must be able to perform a lot better moving forward and avoid making mistakes such as dropping passes. While he understands that drops are a natural part of the game, it's something that could be minimized with enough practice and focus from the players involved. He also mentioned that the team should not rest on their laurels simply because they won eight games straight.

“Every game is a new week. Just because we had a lot last week, doesn’t mean, I know the first one, if you do have a first one in this game, it’ll be huge and everyone will think about last week, but that will affect how you play. You can’t worry about that stuff. Our guys have good hands, you can’t let one drop lead to another. You’ve got to go out there and be mentally very strong with it.”

They have a chance to reset as they prepare to face the Arizona Cardinals. While they are still favorites to win, they should know better than think that they've already won this game.
